Initial Rent Review: Reclaim Rent Within 6 Months

Renting less than 6 months and overpaying? An initial rent review lets you lower your rent retroactively and reclaim overpaid rent.

How it works

Within 6 months of your tenancy start date, you can ask the Huurcommissie to review your initial rent. If the rent is too high, it is reduced retroactively to the start date.
